A Playbook to Automate Follow-Ups in Seconds

Welcome to The Autopreneur's Playbook. Each week, we share game-changing playbooks to streamline your workday and supercharge your productivity.

Today's playbook will help you stay connected with effortless follow-ups

Why This Playbook Matters

Following up is crucial for maintaining relationships, closing deals, and staying organized—but it’s easy to forget. FollowUpThen takes the guesswork out of remembering by letting you schedule follow-ups straight from your inbox. Just set it and forget it until the reminder lands in your inbox.

This playbook walks you through setting up and using FollowUpThen to make follow-ups effortless.

Step 1: Get Started with FollowUpThen

Objective: Sign up and connect FollowUpThen to Gmail.

1. Head to FollowUpThen.com and create a free account.

2. Connect it to your Gmail (or any email provider) for seamless integration.

3. That’s it! You’re ready to automate your follow-ups.

FollowUpThen works entirely through email, so there’s no app to install. Just use it right from your inbox.

Step 2: Automate Follow-Up Reminders for Sent Emails

Objective: Add automatic reminders when sending emails.

1. Compose an email as usual.

2. In the BCC field, add a reminder email like:

2days@followupthen.com for a 2-day follow-up.

1week@followupthen.com to check in a week.

nextmonday@followupthen.com for a specific day.

3. Send your email. If the recipient hasn’t replied by your chosen time, you’ll get a reminder to follow up.

No need to track emails manually—FollowUpThen does it for you.

Step 3: Use FollowUpThen for Incoming Emails

Objective: Get reminders for emails you need to respond to later.

1. Receive an email that requires a reply, but you’re too busy to handle it immediately.

2. Forward the email to FollowUpThen with a time-based reminder like:

tomorrow@followupthen.com to respond the next day.

nextweek@followupthen.com for a later follow-up.

3. A reminder will land in your inbox at the scheduled time, ensuring nothing gets lost.

Keep your inbox clean while staying on top of critical conversations.

Step 4: Track & Manage Your Follow-Ups

Objective: Stay on top of scheduled reminders.

1. Log in to your FollowUpThen dashboard to see all upcoming reminders.

2. Adjust, reschedule, or cancel reminders if needed.

3. Keep your follow-ups streamlined and stress-free.
